BRACES

Carson got 2 little pink braces today. She is so proud of them, and can't wait to show them off at school tomorrow. I was excited for her to get them too until she go them! She looks sooooooo old.

First Day of 2nd Grade

About a month ago my sweet little girl stared 2nd grade! Carson is in Mrs. Garcia's class this year. She is having a great year so far. She tried out for the Murfee Destination Imagination team and made it. She had to invent something from items around the house. After lots of thinking she came up with the "baby automatic bath tub". she had to make up a commercial for her product and say it in front of the 2nd grade teachers. I was so surprised she actually went through with it, but she did and her teacher was very impressed. She also got a golden paw last week for being a helpful Murfee mountain lion in the cafateria. The simplest things make a mom sooo proud! Here are pics from the 1st day of school.

OPEN HOUSE

Today we went to open house at Murfee . We found out our teacher and who was in Carson's 2nd grade class. I of course was very anxious, but Carson was calm and excited. For the 1st time Carson and Grace are going to be in class together! We have intentionally split them up the past couple of years so that they could meet new people,but this year they will be together and we are all so excited!I am so looking forward to another great year at Murfee, but I am so sad my baby is getting so old! This is so hard for me! Every time I think about it I cry! Just yesterday Carson was a sweet, little baby and now she's a big 7 year old! I am so proud of the girl she has become. She is so sweet, caring, smart, beautiful and loving. Here are some pics of Open house.

4th of July

This year was the first time Carson and I did not go to the lake with my family for the 4th! We decided to stay home instead and spend the weekend with friends. We had a great weekend! Friday night we went to the Wolfe's for a cook out and swimming, then we went with the Peters and the Normans to watch fire works and then to Aaron and Kaycee's house for a late night party and karaoke. Carson's 7th Birthday!

Hard to believe that my baby will turn 7 this week! Where has the time gone? To celebrate her birthday this year, Gigi and I took her to Dallas to the American girl store and to shop.The doll store was amazing and so much fun. Carson chose to get a doll named Julie. She is the 1974 doll. Each doll comes with a book that tells her story. Julie got some new outfits and her and Carson got matching pj's. We ate desert at the American girl bistro where they had a high chair for Julie! We had a great time!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Well, the school year has come to an end and my sweet little girl will soon be in 2nd grade! Carson had a great year. Her teacher Amy Hall was wonderful and loved Carson so much. She made lots of friends and learned a lot. This summer is filled with fun camps, a trip to Dallas to go to the American Doll store and lots of time spent at the lake house.

Just wanted to post some new pics of my sweet girl! Here are some from the Victory Life children's choir program. It was really good. Also, some I took from the 1st grade awards ceremony yesterday.

Carson received awards for .... citizenship, "A" honor roll, student of the month, community problem solving and a reading award. So proud of her!
